Minister of Communications, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says the federal government has covered all bases as it begins implementation of the conditional cash transfer to vulnerable Nigerians next year.

Mohammed who spoke to Vanguard Newspapers noted that the scheme enjoys the partnership of international donor and development agencies.

Obama appoints Nigerian into human trafficking council

Barack Obama, the United States President has named a Nigerian-American journalist and Anti-human Trafficking advocate, Bukola Oriola as a member of the US Advisory Council on Human Trafficking.

In a statement by the office of the Press Secretary, White House on December 16, Obama said he was honoured that Oriola and 10 others appointed to serve in the council have decided to serve the country.

CBN outlaws street trading of dollars, other foreign currencies from January 1, 2016

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has set out the guidelines for the operations of Bureau de Change (BDCs) operators in the country.

The guidelines, which are contained in the CBN’s latest circular, has prohibited the age-long practice of hawking foreign exchange on the streets, common in Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt and some major northern cities.

Fidellis Nwachukwu, from Imo State, recently displayed his prototype excavator at the Abuja international motor fair. He said he has no formal training in engineering or mechanics and that it was in fact a vision from 
God that inspired him to make the excavator. .

He said: "I am truly gifted from God and I have the spirit that enlightens me on what to do. I have a lot to offer my country, my plan is to develop this excavator.
